SOS is a non-profit organization whose aim is to help foreigners living in Chiangmai in the event of an emergency. We are based in Chiangmai and have an office situated near to PAYAP University. The SOS team is a combination of both UK and Thai nationals.


Andrew Williams, a UK national, has lived in Chiangmai for over four years and is a fluent Thai speaker. Due to this we are able to work with local people and make the most of their knowledge. Andrew was previously an English teacher in Chiangmai for three years.

Alan Hall, a UK national, has also lived in Chiangmai for over six years. Alan is a financial advisor and investment counsellor with over twenty years experience. His professional qualifications include financial planning certificates 1, 2, 3 and cmap.

Jaroonroat Krasaesuk (Tom), a Thai national, was educated at Chiangmai University and has a B.A in Law and a B.A in Political Science. Tom is fluent in English and brings local experience and legal expertise to the team.

Thanaphat Hall, a Thai national, was educated at the University of Siam in Bangkok. She lived and worked in the UK for five years and is also fluent in English


OUR 24hr EMERGENCY HELP LINES receive calls in both Thai and English and, due to the diversity of the team we have established excellent relations between SOS and any other relevant organizations. One of which, is a local law firm who provide us with 24hr legal assistance for our members.
